Mangalgiri is a handwoven yarn-dyed cloth from the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh that can be identified by its distinctive thread count and Nizam border. This cloth is only woven on pit looms, which allows the weaver to apply far more force during the weaving process without gaps. This is what sets Mangalgiri textiles apart from other weaves.
